NGGDPP Grants for States and USGS Projects Awarded

FY16 grants have been awarded to state geological surveys through a competitive proposal process. The Grants Review Panel composed of 10 members representing the Association of American State Geologists (AASG), USGS, and Smithsonian Institution reviewed 28 proposals submitted by state geological surveys. Twenty-two states were awarded funding. View list of successful state projects.

FY16 grants have been awarded to USGS researchers through a competitive proposal process. The Grants Review Panel composed of 4 members representing the USGS reviewed 13 proposals. Seven projects were awarded funding. View list of successful USGS projects.

Upon project completion, metadata describing preserved collections and data will be cataloged in the National Digital Catalog, including information for accessing the preserved artifacts.
